The Shockhopper is a Pre-Hardmode enemy that spawns within the Asteroid Field biome. It will teleport to an area, charging up a laser shot, and then firing it at the player. The Shockhopper itself does not deal any contact damage.

Like Astral Amalgams, Shockhoppers cannot spawn while the player is standing in front of placed walls.

  • After locking on to a player, it spends half a second charging up a shot, during which time it cannot rotate.

  • 1.4.3: Now immune to Festering Wounds, Poisoned, Electrified, and Confused.
  • 1.4.1.0: Decreased health from 68 to 55 and defense from 9 to 6.
