The Old Cross is a Pre-Hardmode Sentry weapon obtained from Sepulchre Chests that summons an Ancient Coffin full of Angry Skeletons. Not to be confused with the vanilla Angry Bones, these Skeletons are spawned from the Coffin in groups of 2-3 to attack nearby enemies, dealing one hit of damage each before disintegrating.
Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stats bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, Minions cannot deal Critical hits. The only significant advantage a Mythical Old Cross has over a Ruthless one is knockback.

- Every 2.7 seconds, if there is an enemy within 56 blocks, 2-3 Angry Skeletons will appear from the Coffin and give chase for up to 6 seconds.
- If 3 Skeletons are spawned, then each one only does 3/4 of the normal damage. For enemies with high defense, this can result in lower total damage than when only 2 Skeletons spawn.
