Hungry (minion)

The Famine Scepter was a Hardmode summon weapon that was dropped by the Wall of Flesh. It spawned a Hungry Minion that followed the player and attacked enemies via latching onto them. Uniquely, the summoned Hungry Minion would have fleshy chains attached to the player. This prevented the summoned from Hungry Minion from moving too far away from the wielder. However, the player would slowly drain the life by one when the summoned Hungries were active. Like other minions, the summoned Hungry was invincible and followed the player for an unlimited amount of time, unless the player died, summoned a replacement minion, or cancelled the buff.

Its best modifier was Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provided the widest array of stats bonuses, but these primarily affected the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, Minions couldn't deal critical hits. The only significant advantage a Mythical Famine Scepter had over a Ruthless one was knockback.

Dying because of its health drain ability would result in the same death message as dying from the On Fire! debuff.
